New Chat Functions & Features
With the feedback of schools such as Long Beach City College, we have added four new functions and feature to our instant messaging chat box. These new functions will help capture reporting data, look up a student’s information, and reroute a student to a specific student support team member. Please view the screenshot of the new chat box and read about the functions that are associated with each new feature.
New Chat Box:
View Student Details:
This new functions will take you directly to the “Student Lookup” in the Campus Calibrate scheduling system. This will allow you to see the student’s student ID, last appointment details, and all other information. The function will open the Student Lookup in a new tab or window in the browser you are using.
Save Chat to a New Meeting:
This function will quickly turn the chat session into a “meeting” and will allow the staff member to mark the meeting reason code(s) and notes of the chat appointment. We understand that all data needs to be reported for specific grants and funding, even the chat sessions are considered “meetings” and we want to support your school in receiving the funding associated with that session.
Send to Another Moderator:
When chatting with a student using our instant chat messaging function, you can now send them to another staff member. ConexED understands that sometimes student might engage with a support member of your college that is not who they should be connecting with. The “Send to another moderator” will quickly reroute the student to the appropriate person.
Send to Lobby:
This function will send the student to your shared group lobby. This helps with managing walk-in appointments while your are set at “Online” and the knock on door is activated. The student will access the group lobby and from there, any of the group members can add the student to their live Cranium Cafe meeting to meet in real-time through the video meeting platform.
